About Us
Nashville's Citywide Celebration of Mark Twain is the result of a coalition of arts and cultural organizations in Nashville who came together to explore the power of all being on the same page at the same time. We thought it would be fun to develop a single theme together, bringing to bear all of our gifts as a diverse learning community. The results are an array of offerings that cross all artistic media and appeal to all ages. The life and work of Mark Twain was a treasure trove from which to draw inspiration.
Our Goals
- To present a city-wide schedule of cultural events focusing on a common theme
- To develop a lasting relationship among arts and educational organizations that can be invoked for common goals on an ongoing basis
- To communicate clearly to the public the many ways learning can occur through art, literature, and performance
